Sheltie stolen from Kansas in 2002-still missing-have you seen Racer?

My name is Katie Roberts-Gilliam and I am still desperately looking for my blue merle Racer. Our 3-yr old boy was stolen from our ranch in September 2002 in Overbrook, Kansas. He was intact, had 2 piercing blue eyes, full white collar, had a Home Again microchip registered with AKC. We have no idea where he was taken, could be in any state. His picture is on his breeder’s website: www.royalhillshelties.com under the "performance" category. There is a large reward for his return or information regarding his whereabouts. If anyone has any information, please contact me at: (785) 331-9925.

  • Katie and I have exchanged email about this situation, so I’d like to clarify something that might not be clear from her posting: Although Racer was stolen 5 years ago, you shouldn’t think that Katie has just now decided to start looking for him — she started immediately upon discovering that he was missing by calling the police to get an investigation going, and doing all the right things (like putting up posters, calling all the vets in the state, and even got onto the television news!).

The 5 year difference between when Racer was stolen and now is due only to the fact that she just contacted Sheltie Rescue of Utah for advice and assistance.
