Get Well Mom Your Evie-Girl Needs You!

Evie’s Mom-to-be, Judi, had to go to Spokane to have heart surgery. Evie worried about her and wondered what she could do to help her Mom through her surgery and to get well fast so that Evie can go home and snuggle with her. Here is a photo of Evie pondering this problem and hoping that temporary Mom, Barbara, might help her out.

Then that smart little girl Evie came up with a great idea but it had to be a collaboration with Barbara. We worked hard and I think we finally got the message across…

Barbara…I don’t think Mom-Judi can see me and my message to her! She can’t see the heart we put on this message and she can’t read my name! How is she going to be sure that it’s me who needs her to get better? Have you read the user manual for this camera?

Okay, okay…let me see if I can help you out with this, Barbara. Is this paper facing the right way? How big is this anyway? Barbara, I don’t think this is an Evie-sized message. Oh my gosh! This is too big for me! What were you thinking?

That’s it! I don’t want to play this game anymore! For one thing there don’t seem to be any treats involved. Again, what were you thinking? For another thing, I don’t think you’ve ever opened that user manual. I tried to help you but I don’t think you take commands as well as I do. Maybe we need more training? Can I have a treat now?

Mom-Judi…please get me out of here! You see what I have to put up with?

On this day..

Dear Barbara – You made me laugh! Thank you for this. I was really touched by the way you spent so much of your precious time e-mailing us and sending us pictures. It meant more than you will ever know! Judi

Judi, it was my pleasure to turn my attention to you when something so big was happening in your life. Kjell’s not much of a talker, I think. Or is it trying to write messages on a tiny screen that’s inhibiting? I haven’t got a blackberry so I don’t know. But I think that’s the way I see myself going in the future.

I’m glad you liked this and that Julene thought it was cute — but I don’t want to be in charge!!!!

  • Awww Evie is such a good sweet girl! I hope Judi gets better soon!
