Gentle readers, I’ve been almost overwhelmed with the support and condolences that we’ve received from you. It’s very heartwarming (even to a broken heart!) to know how many people share our sense of loss, our grief. You are truly very special people and I am enormously grateful to have you among my friends. I can [...]

Early this morning (about 07:40), Barbara was taking the pack outside for their morning constitutionals. As I was preparing to brush my teeth, I heard Barbara racing up the stairs. When she got there, she blurted out “I think Sly just died!” At which I dropped everything and raced downstairs with her. Sly was just [...]

Sly and Tzar are two old boys who came into rescue and are not doing well. Tzar has cancer that’s invaded his lymph system. He’s on some prednisone to help him with pain and appetite issues. We’re keeping a close watch on him to make sure we don’t make him stay too long. Sly has [...]

Hi,
She hasn’t been named yet so if you’ve got ideas I’d love to hear them. She’s adorable, bouncy, sweet, and good with all the dogs and people. Great little personality and quite fearless for her age. This video starts off not too interesting but improves. There are 2 others coming. – Barbara

Here in Utah, we’ve already had our first snow. Last weekend, we got about eight inches of snow here at our house, and I think there were a couple of inches of the fluffy stuff on the valley floor. Alta, our favorite ski resort, reportedly got something like 46″, which is nearly enough to let them open for the season!
But, you know what all this means, don’t you? Holiday shopping!
Every year, it seems like the shopping season starts earlier and earlier. Well, Sheltie Rescue can’t afford [...]

In an earlier post (How to Organize a Warehouse), I told you, Gentle Reader, that we were building a rack on which we could store the many tubs containing the various products we have for sale through our web store, Sheltie Rescue Mall. In that post, I promised to take some pictures of the rack [...]

Life as a pet with the Bagdoian’s
I was pretty young when I found Mama Sarah and Daddy Steve about a year ago in Sept 2006 while living under their porch in the back yard. I don’t know how long I was there before I ran into Daddy one morning [...]

Back in July, we rescued a “sheltie” named Travis, about whom you can read here. Travis, aside from not appearing to have any Sheltie in him at all, turned out to be Very High Maintenance. He hated being in a crate and hated being left alone. When we would both have to leave the house, [...]

There hasn’t been much blogging going on recently, not on this blog, at least. One reason, which some readers already know, is that Barbara has had both of her knees replaced in the last 60 days! She’s been awfully busy with recovering, physical therapy, and all that. The good news is that her recovery has [...]
