Just a quick note to let everybody know that Barbara’s surgery today went extremely well. As soon as it was over, her doctor came out to the lobby and told me that it went very easy, no problems, no complications. And, by the time she got back to her room (about 45 minutes after the [...]

Well, tomorrow morning is when Barbara goes under the knife again, so we’ve been pretty busy the last few days trying to get the house and everything else as ready as we can. Of course, I’ll have more to do while she’s in the hospital to prepare for her homecoming (probably by Wednesday or Thursday!). [...]

It’s busy around here! This morning, Barbara went over to the vet’s office to retrieve the Fab Four who arrived on Sunday. By the time she got all four of them loaded into the car, somebody had peed in the driver’s seat (so Cottonwood lent her a towel on which she could sit while driving) [...]

Cooper — a 20-month old male Sheltie with a very striking face: it’s over half white. He’s a little skittish about men, but did let me rub his [...]

Back in (I think) August 2008, four Shelties were turned over to us together. They were:
Cassie — A mahogany sable and white girl about nine years old who had (about five months earlier) given birth to three puppies
Sherlock — A blue merle boy about three years old who was the sire of those puppies
Dakota — [...]

Hi, Here’s what I received in my email this morning… Our latest video montage is finally completed! Our most sincere gratitude to all who have shared photos of senior dogs to use in this project. Please share this video with everyone, and feel free to post links to it on your website. [...]

Barbara dropped by our vet’s offices this morning to check on the status of a fairly new rescue, a senior girl named Angel (whom I mentioned in a previous post). Angel’s in the care of a foster home (other than us) and her foster mom had taken Angel into the vet’s for her senior blood [...]
