I’m not too great at keeping track of time, so truthfully, I can’t think of how long I’ve had little Rusty. I’m thinking about a year and a half now.
Rusty Bear came to our home all of 6 lbs. He’s 10 inches and has gained about 2 lbs, a tremendous feat for [...]

On Friday of last week, Abby and I went to agility class again. I had managed to work one-on-one with Abby two or three times last week, and she really seemed to enjoy doing it. (Whether that’s due to her fondness for work, her pleasure at spending more time with me, or her love of [...]

After our tragic loss of our dear departed Cayenne, I thought you all might enjoy a follow up!
Allow me to introduce to you all “Chili Pepper”! And baby, he’s HOT.
We went to the wedding last night and then stopped by on our way back home in the night time and plucked (pardon the [...]

Daisey’s surgery was very successful although we’re still waiting to hear on the results of her biopsy. She handled the anesthesia very well, the tumor was well defined and encapsulated, and her dental went very well also. Best of all I got to see her reunited with her family — at least three [...]

I know this isn’t really about shelties, but in a way it is.
Yesterday was a sad day for us. Our super friendly rooster “Cayenne” had to be put down yesterday. Yes, we did pay for an office visit to the vets for a chicken and yes, we would have treated him [...]

Our wonderful pet-sitter, Amanda, sent this to us today, and I really want to share it with you guys. Most of you know about Tommy, our blue-merle/sable-merle cross who is almost all white, and is blind and deaf. He’s a wonderful guy whom we rescued a couple of years ago. Well, this post is about [...]

Whatever is going on with the insert image button and what it invokes on this site is beyond me! I spent HOURS trying out all the different means and ways to use this thing and still couldn’t get any of my photos of Daisey Do into my previous blog! Yeah…I saw my last [...]

Thank you to all who were so kind and thoughtful to donate to help with Daisey Do’s expenses.
I’m very pleased at how well she’s coming along. Her surgery will be tomorrow, Thursday. I expect the very best outcome possible, partly based on Dr. Porter’s examination, partly based on my own observations [...]
