Julene (half Sheltie herself) and Amanda are worried that Chewy’s quality of life is no longer good. Jim and I have asked Amanda to talk with Dr. Kris about this. He’s on an antibiotic which he has not finished taking. He’s also on hydrocodone which will make him somewhat sluggish and sleepy. [...]

This morning we’re off to visit the very familiarly named Topkapi Palace here in Istanbul. You have to pay extra to visit the large section set aside for the harem…really! We’re also going to visit the Grand Bazaar today which is the largest covered market in the world…I don’t think they compare it [...]

Dr. Kris has been keeping a close eye on Chewy. She has been giving him medicine and fluids through IV and suringe feeding him. This morning she called me to let me know that his stomach seemed sensitive and so she did an x-ray and saw nothing abnormal in his abdoman but noticed [...]

Chewy has been a picky eater for a while now, but getting him to eat was just a matter of finding what he wanted to eat at the time and usually hand feeding it to him. Well, as of Saturday night he got some really bad diarrhea and wasn’t wanting to eat anything. [...]

Jim and I left the U.S. on May 13 and arrived in Bucharest, Romania the next day. First thing in the morning while we were having a great breakfast at the hotel, called Hotel Marshall, a woman came to us saying that a trip was organized for us but we didn’t know about it [...]

What if Ballet had not been taken OFF of the antibiotics I started her on?
Why did they take her off of them? How did her white blood cell count get so high before it was detected? Surely she was running a temperature…didn’t they notice?
