Rescuing Shelties – or any breed or species – is frighteningly expensive. We know of rescuers who have actually lost their homes because they spent everything on rescue and couldn’t cover their mortgages! Frighteningly expensive!!
Sheltie Rescue of Utah is a medium-sized rescue organization and our veterinary bills run $25,000 to $30,000 per year (and growing). [...]
