Outstanding Embroidery at a For Rescue Price — Thank You Black Spool Embroidery!!

These smiling folks are Vanessa and Bob Black who run the Black Spool Embroidery Shop. But they’re so much more than that and I only know the tiniest sliver about who they really are.

I can tell you that they’ve been supportive of Sheltie Rescue since before we were a Federal 501c3 and have [...]

Sheltie Rescue Mall is back online

Gentlefriends, some of you may have noticed that the Sheltie Rescue Mall has been closed because of technical problems. The problem was pretty severe — all purchases made using PayPal were properly charged to the customer, and then the orders were simply erased…they vanished without a trace! It took some doing, but we have found [...]

Off To The 2009 ASSA National

It’s already mid-April, isn’t it? And that’s when the annual ASSA National Specialty is normally held (this year included). The National is one of Sheltie Rescue of Utah’s biggest fundraising events (which is one reason we are willing to go every year and run the rescue booth). We take lots of product to sell, and that’s [...]

Making (some) Progress on the Warehouse

This past weekend, Amanda (our petsitter, who’s been helping out while Barbara’s recovering) and I spent most of a day down in the basement working on the warehouse. It was a disaster — we could hardly get to anything and couldn’t find anything unless it was in the tubs on the new shelves. Poor Barbara [...]

It’s That Time of Year Again!

Here in Utah, we’ve already had our first snow. Last weekend, we got about eight inches of snow here at our house, and I think there were a couple of inches of the fluffy stuff on the valley floor. Alta, our favorite ski resort, reportedly got something like 46″, which is nearly enough to let them open for the season!

But, you know what all this means, don’t you? Holiday shopping!

Every year, it seems like the shopping season starts earlier and earlier. Well, Sheltie Rescue can’t afford [...]

Organizing the Warehouse, redux

In an earlier post (How to Organize a Warehouse), I told you, Gentle Reader, that we were building a rack on which we could store the many tubs containing the various products we have for sale through our web store, Sheltie Rescue Mall. In that post, I promised to take some pictures of the rack [...]

How to Organize a Warehouse

Some of our readers have actually seen our house. Our apologies go out to them. The place is, not to put too fine a point on it, a mess. On our bottom (“basement”) floor, the mess is primarily due to the fact that it serves as the warehouse for the Sheltie Rescue Mall, our web [...]

Down In The Salt Mines

Well, not really. But I’ve been spending a pretty good amount of time in the last couple of days (and a couple of days about two weeks ago) entering all sorts of new products into our web store, SheltieRescueMall.com. Most of what I’ve done is added all of the remaining towels in our new 2008 [...]

Sable of West Sussex – Beautiful UK Sheltie-Girl

[photopress:Sable_from_West_Sussex__Medium_.jpg,thumb,pp_image] A customer of our webstore to support rescue, http://SheltieRescueMall.com was kind enough to send us a photo of their beautiful Sheltie-girl Sable.
