Lessee… Barbara checked into the hospital at about 1:30PM on Monday of this week for her shoulder replacement surgery. She walked out of the hospital at about 10:00AM on Wednesday to come home. 7 woofsIt’s only 10:00 in the morning and we’re already up one dog. At about 9:00, a couple and their 3-year old daughter came over to drop off their 7-month old puppy, a tri-color Sheltie named Cole. Their reason: He’s too shy and runs away from their daughter. Well, they’re a nice family, and the daughter [...] Well, for a few days, since Tzar died, we’ve been down to an even dozen dogs in the house, about as low as we’ve been in over a year. It just couldn’t last, could it? Since Barbara got back home yesterday afternoon, we’ve learned that Cassie’s coming back to us. Her family’s unhappy that she hasn’t [...] Some weeks back, some of you (OK, one of you) said that you’d like to see some pictures of our sailboat and maybe some pictures of us sailing. Well, that subject’s got little to do with Sheltie rescue (except that it costs approximately the same amount of money), but here goes. Our sailboat is named Dream [...] Well, I picked Barbara up at the hospital at about 11:00 this morning, after which we went straight to a pharmacy to pick up some prescriptions for her, then home. She spent a while setting a recliner up in which she plans to sleep (under the theory that sleeping in our waterbed might not be [...] Just a quick note to let everybody know that Barbara’s surgery today went extremely well. As soon as it was over, her doctor came out to the lobby and told me that it went very easy, no problems, no complications. And, by the time she got back to her room (about 45 minutes after the [...] Well, tomorrow morning is when Barbara goes under the knife again, so we’ve been pretty busy the last few days trying to get the house and everything else as ready as we can. The first one to whom we introduced them was Shelbee — and I haven’t seen Shelbee that excited in a very long time.
