Man, this blog has visitors from everywhere ! I recently added the Feedjit live traffic widget (look at the bottom of the left sidebar), without realizing that it came with a "see what’s happening in real time" feature. Talk about a fun feature! Well, in the last day alone, we’ve had visitors from Indiana, Washington (state), Virginia, [...] I’m frustrated! I know you guys would prefer for me to blog about Sheltie Rescue and related subjects, and here I am obsessing about the blog. Yesterday, I was playing around with this and that on the blog, trying out some new ideas, and my system was getting sooooo sllloooowwwwwww htat I decided I’d better [...] …and the lab hasn’t exploded. Yet. Readers will have noticed by now that I’ve managed to make several changes without completely killing the site: I’ve managed to get a “number of visits” counter working There’s an old saying in the computer bizness that goes something like this: Every project is 80% complete for 80% of the time. Sometimes the word "program" is used instead of "project". You’ve probably experienced this yourself, even if you didn’t know the saying. I’ve just finished upgrading to WordPress 2.7, which was astoundingly easy, and then I applied a new template that I found. This template (named Atahualpa, in case you’re curious) is claimed to be incredibly customizable directly from the administrator screens (instead of having [...] Experiments. Sometimes they work.
