Today is USA Thanksgiving Day. I don’t have the cycles tonight to get all philosophical, so this’ll be brief.
First, I’m really thankful that I’m surrounded by Shelties and by Sheltie-loving people — especially Barbara, who is the best thing that ever happened to me!
Second, I’m very thankful for all of you wonderful folk who read [...]
We have a very nice university professor interested in adopting our girls, Daisy and Ginger! They both just had dentals and blood panels on Friday of last week. Daisy’s total bilirubin was above normal…I have to try to find out what that means for her future care. Joe, their potential adopter, will [...]
I remain apologetic for the long gaps in blog posts, but life has taken on a, well, life of its own. My day job has gotten busier (short term, I hope) and Barbara has been having extremely severe computer problems, but we’re moving back towards "normal’ (whatever that is).

Wow. Where to start?
Yesterday morning, the lovely people who rescued Daisy (a/k/a Daisy Mae) three or four years ago (and nursed her through the loss of her leg — which was caused by her being hit by a car, not an infection as I suggested yesterday!) brought her over to our house. Daisy was a [...]
Not much has been happening, rescue-wise, in the last couple of days. We got a call from Jeff, the man who adopted Shadow, reporting that she’s settled in and is having a great time. You might recall that, in the same week, they adopted another rescue Sheltie (named "Kali") from Sheltie Shack in Kansas. Well, [...]
