2 woofsAfter all of the doom-and-gloom over the past month, punctuated by the occasional travelogue, I thought I’d give a brief update on everybody else. Star and Abby (whom we adopted ourselves) are doing great. Star continues to be a bit anxious about life in general, but especially about getting enough attention, while Abby is thrilled to [...] Actually, there’s been a fair amount of stuff going on with our pack over the last week or so. Let me try to catch up a bit. Right now, we have 13 dogs in house, including our own two (Star and Abby). I’ll go through the 11 rescues one at a time: * Chuy is deteriorating. He [...] This afternoon, we picked Tanner up from the vet’s, where we’d taken him Monday evening to be neutered on Tuesday. We would have picked him up on Tuesday, but it seems that he metabolized the anesthesia more slowly than some dogs and thus they wanted to keep him overnight. He is such a sweet boy. 4 woofsThis video focuses just on our new little rescued Sheltie girl, 16 week old Tessa. She’s probably going to be a very small-sized Sheltie given how much smaller she is than her sister Shadow and even Meggie, her already adopted sister. Tessa has, kind of unexpectedly, made friends with one of our puppy mill Shelties [...] It’s only 10:00 in the morning and we’re already up one dog. At about 9:00, a couple and their 3-year old daughter came over to drop off their 7-month old puppy, a tri-color Sheltie named Cole. Their reason: He’s too shy and runs away from their daughter.
